Julie was my Godmother and truly my spiritual mother all through my life, from a very early age I learnt about Jesus through all Julies prayers and example to follow him.I will very much miss sharing our scripture union bible notes and all that it meant to both of us, as we grew stronger in our faith.

As a young teenager I went on scripture union house camps in Dogelleau in North Wales doing many adventure activities, coming together each day for our scripture teaching.Julie was one of the officers looking after us.Scripture union still take children on camps and take Gods words into schools as part of their work today.

Also one of my memories as a child was visiting the bungalow in Carlton Hill Herne Bay where Grannie Belle ,Granddad and Julie lived,it was a real adventure going up the stairs that had been pulled down to enter.Julies bedroom was at the front of the bungalow, panelled in dark golden wood, which made it very warm and cosy with a small round window at the front end. Each winter the family beach hut was brought up from the beach to the back garden of the bungalow and placed on breeze blocks which in the summer were planted  out with flowers.

Ken and I will miss taking Julie out to many National Trust places, enjoying the houses and especially the gardens, so many wonderful memories to cherish.
